Men’s Division 1
Our top men’s side, competing for the McCurdy Cup against clubs from Nova Scotia and PEI. The premier competition for amateur club rugby in the Maritimes.
Chasing the McCurdy Cup
Division 1 competes each year for the McCurdy Cup, the premier competition for amateur club rugby in the Maritimes.
The winner advances to play New Brunswick’s champion for the Caledonia Cup. It is a serious competition, and an important source of player growth and development, providing the launch point for selection at provincial, national and professional levels.
Division 1 and Division 2 train together, so there is always a route up for players who want it, and a route back for players who want a lighter season. Selection moves between the sides game to game.
